From Butcher Shop to Major Supplier
Pro Meat Group didn't start in a massive distribution centre—it began with the fundamentals: as a small, quality-focused retail butcher shop on Victoria Street, Richmond. We spent years perfecting our craft, building a reputation with local customers who expected nothing less than the best cuts and reliable service. As our reputation grew, so did the demand from local restaurants and caterers. This led us to naturally venture into meat wholesaling. This shift from retail to wholesale necessitated a dedicated move to a new premises in Hill Street, Cremorne, allowing us to specialise and focus entirely on the food service industry.
The Big Move
While the Cremorne site served us well for years, Pro Meat Group reached a crucial point: to better serve our top-tier clients and handle increasing demand, we needed to scale our operations. In August of 2025, we made our biggest move yet, relocating to a state-of-the-art facility at 4 Racecourse Rd, Williamstown. This wasn't just an address change; it was a commitment to our future and yours. Our new location is five times bigger than our previous site and is completely brand new. This significant investment allows us to offer:

- Superior Quality Control & Hygiene: The new facility allows for better hygiene protocols and quality control across all our products, ensuring the highest standards.
- Serious Capacity: We now have the space to hold substantial stock—up to 30 pallets of fresh and 30 pallets of frozen product—meaning no delays in processing and the ability to fulfil bigger orders for our busiest customers.
Today, Pro Meat Group specialises exclusively in wholesale meat distribution, operating out of our large, modern facility to be the reliable and credible supplier that Melbourne's finest hospitality businesses trust.
